Almost every household has at least one or more plants. Some people are invested in the care for these plants, others have trouble with keeping their plants in a live state.

Within our personal circles, we spoke to people and asked how successful they were in caring for their floral housemates, and many of them admitted having some kind of trouble with keeping their houseplants healthy.

The most common problem was that the plants would not be watered regularly. The main reasons for this being: 1. Simply forgetting it had to be done, and 2. Not knowing how often it needed hydration or how much.

With our approach we tried solving these two main problems, by giving people the possibility to setup reminders with the right amount for the plant.

Within PlantjeWater you can create your own plant family, and add the species which will bring up the right amount and interval of watering.

PlantjeWater is a tool to help people take care of their plants by providing them with information on water intake of their plants. They can put their plants and their species into the app, for watering reminders adapted to their personal collection of houseplants.
